A digital special effects studio in the heart of Soho’s film industry.
The client for this normally hidden world wanted to take advantage of the studio’s presence on the street to promote the facility.

This is a prototype expandable mobile classroom, developed by GLA and LB of Camden as part of a DfES initiative initiative of 30 pilot projects exploring future learning environments.
Delivered off the back of a standard flat bed lorry, the capsule extends to create a wide footprint with a single open space, top lit from a continuous rooflight with fold down stage and ramp access.

Part of Hammerson’s mixed use Highcross Development and derived from the building blocks of the Chapman Taylor Masterplan, GLA aimed to invest this unloved building type with a refinement not normally associated with Car Parks. A silver fabric-like mesh cladding encloses the block on three sides while housing lines its west side.

The Rochdale Canal Bridge is a footbridge linking three points over the Rochdale Canal in Ancoats, Manchester. The design won an open RIBA Competition and forms part of Urban Splash’s New Islington development.
The bridge needed to allow the passage of canal boats whilst also connecting the banks with minimum changes in level for pedestrians. The resulting structure, engineered by Michael Hadi Associates, places the backbone of the bridge above the

The studios are expressed in the timber enclosure above the changing rooms, and timber sliding external screens protect the glazing as well as provide privacy to the studios.
The building is set away from the rest of the school in order for daylight to enter the existing hall.
The space between is treated as a covered ‘external’ gallery and allows for cross ventilation of the studios. This transitional space is clad with
