Beeches Farm Starts on Site

After a lengthy gestation period – if that’s the right word – delayed by Covid, and a number of other factors, the building which was submitted as a Pre-App in 2020 is now appearing on site. The form has been much altered from that initial Application – through the Planning process which restricted the form of the development to the footprint of the original agricultural buildings rather than rethinking the site as a whole. The design thinking has had to be agile to respond to this while also maintaining the aim of a building which works with its context and the gently falling landscape.

The first delivery of Cross Laminated timber (CLT) panels arrived on site last week and are now rapidly forming the shell of the building. CLT SubContractor ConstruktCLT are leading this stage of the process and we expect the full shell to be in place within the next few weeks.
